Eleanor serves as the Global Head of Corporate Communications at The China Navigation company based in Singapore. She has had a front seat in internal change communications, having acquired significant experience and expertise in the most extensive restructuring exercise undertaken by a global publisher in its 210-year history, impacting 20% of its workforce. In that role, she led communications for 14 offices in the Asia Pacific region.

Astrid also lectures and provides media comment on politics and digital transformation. She is the author of four books, most recently, “Crisis, Gunpowder and HUG”, which focuses on the need to remain agile in strategic communications planning.

Episode 3: Freedom of Expression with Saleem Samad, General Secretary at the Forum for Freedom of Expression in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Saleem is an award winning Bangladesh-born investigative journalist. He has more than 35 years’ experience in investigative journalism in South Asia, reporting on conflict, security, forced migration, Islamic Jihad, good governance, elective democracy and press freedom. In this episode, he shares his insights on working as a journalist, freedom of expression, the power of media and social media in South Asia and Bangladesh’s transformation to a country of global influence.
